Little Blue Riding

These wonderful picture book illustrations are created by Josep Rodés of Barcelona. They come from the children's book, Pidra, palo y paja, published by OQO editora in 2006. 

I asked Josep to tell me a little more about the book, since it's not readily available here in the U.S.  He said that the story is a traditional tale from Russia.  All of the illustrations are made with acrylics.  As for the style of the work, he explains, "I was inspired in the matryoshka, the Russian nesting dolls."  Josep also told me that he has been selected to participate in Immagini della fantasia, the International Illustration Exhibit in Italy in October 2008.
